Becoming catholic at st charles

RCIA

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is the process where adults (18+ years) become fully initiated Catholics through the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and 1st Eucharist (Communion) each year during our Easter Vigil.

If you are an adult but have not yet completed your initiation, we invite you to call Carmela Chy (925) 447-4549 ext. 115 in our Learning Office to sign up for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) program. You can also fill out the form to the right.

Not quite ready to begin the RCIA process? It’s okay, we understand this is a big, life-changing decision! Instead, we’d like to invite you to our “Come & See” Zoom meetings put on by members of our Adult Formation team. Here, you can ask questions and explore the Catholic faith with others who may have the same questions as you! See below for more details.

  4. Those Catholics who wish to complete the sacraments of Eucharist and/or Confirmation.
